• Ukraine

           SSCF continues to provide funds for pro-life activities through Hope Center in Lviv.  We are coordinating             funds with the Franciscan Friars to aid refugees from the war who are streaming through Lviv.  It's an                     ongoing task.

• Uganda

           SSCF is providing aid to a Catholic hospital in Lodonga, a regional center NW of Kampala.  In 2021, we                   bought a new ambulance for the hospital to transport patients from their villages to Lodonga.  In 2022,
           we bought them a blood analyzer machine and paid the annual salary for their only physician.  

            It has been proposed that we partner with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal to update some buildings
            for an orphanage.  The orphanage is under the direction of a Catholic bishop.

• Syria

           This year (2023) we propose to send $5000 to a Catholic parish in Vermont for use in providing for one                 Syrian refugee family.  The needs of the selected family will have to be assessed, but whatever is supplied             will help the family stabilize in their return to Syria or in Lebanon.  If you wish to inquire, the                                   organization in Vermont is ​Nasarean.org.
